Born on the gulf coast of Texas and transplanted at an early age to a small town in central Ohio, my lifelong goal was to return to white sands and salt water. In pursuit of this plan I began my residential real estate career near Columbus, Ohio in 1992. Over those 20 years I have placed an emphasis on education to meet the ever changing needs of my clients and customers, obtaining the REALTOR designations of ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) and GRI (Graduate REALTOR Institute) and the SFR (Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource) certification as well as the Ohio Mortgage Association School of Mortgage Banking.
In 2012 the opportunity to relocate to southeastern North Carolina presented itself and to make a not so long story even shorter I arrived on the shores of Brunswick County in July of 2012. What I found here has far exceeded my wildest expectations.
The people, warm and friendly, are eager to make everyone feel welcome and at home. Some trace their roots to pre-revolutionary America while others are northern expatriates drawn by the mild winters and the prospect of year round golfing and boating.
Whether you seek the permanent, laid back vacation lifestyle living at the beach, the cultural richness of the arts, history and nightlife found in Wilmington and Myrtle Beach, the peaceful country solitude nestled in the midst of long leaf pines or the quaint leisurely small town security of Southport, Brunswick and New Hanover counties are the place to be.
I hope you will join me in exploring the coastal Carolina lifestyle. "Home" truly is "where the heart is" and I am looking forward to helping you find the perfect place to call home.
A consummate professional, Mark was truly a pleasure to work with. His knowledge of Brunswick County, willingness to go the extra mile, and service provided was far beyond our expectations. If you need a Realtor in this area, do not hesitate to call Mark Irby.
Mark was very knowledgable, if you had a question he was very prompt in getting back with you. I would gladly use Mark again if I were to purchase another house in the future.
